Holistic nurse Katie Kissel, RN, IAC, LMBT will be leading the presentation on how our bodies react to stress and the negative health consequences of chronic stress. Katie will guide the group in the basics of two different methods to use on oneself to decrease stress and increase the relaxation response. All participants are welcome to attend the Yin yoga class following the presentation for free.
*Yin yoga is a slow-paced practice, in our non-heated studio, designed for all levels. Yin postures apply moderate stress to the connective tissues – with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A great class for students new to practicing yoga or wanting a complement their other fitness regimes.
